Frequently Asked Questions
General
Is IndoFinity free? Most of its features are completely free. Only four areas have limits on a free account: Interaction Center, Soundboards, Stream Avatar, and YouTube Music Song Request. See Free Limits and Add-ons.
Do I have to use OBS? For most features, yes. Overlays are added as a Browser Source in OBS or TikTok Live Studio. The exception is Soundboards, which you can use straight from your phone without an overlay.
Can I use it for YouTube or Twitch? No. IndoFinity is built for TikTok Live. For Stream Avatar only, there is a separate third-party product for other platforms. See Stream Avatar.
Do I need the desktop app, or is a browser enough? A browser is enough for most features. The desktop app is needed for keystrokes to games, global hotkeys, the WebSocket API, and a more stable connection. See Desktop App.
Does the dashboard tab have to stay open?
Yes. All event processing runs in the app.indofinity.com tab. If you close it, overlays stop reacting even though your TikTok live is still running.
Setup
Why can't I Connect to Live?
The three most common causes: your TikTok live isn't actually on air yet, the username was entered with an @, or you need to wait a few seconds after the live starts. See Connecting TikTok Live.
How many overlays should I add? Only as many as you use. An idle Browser Source still uses your PC's resources.
Why is my overlay black/empty? That's normal. Overlays are transparent and empty until an action runs. Test with the Play Interaction button.
Features
Can I test without going live? Yes. The Simulator Panel sends fake gifts, comments, likes, follows, and donations. See Simulator Panel.
Why do gift alerts show up late? That's combo behavior. Tick Repeat as many times as the gift combo in the Interaction.
My Gift Tracker data disappeared after I closed the browser. Can I get it back? No. Gift Tracker stores its data in the browser, not on the server. Use Copy or Download CSV before closing.
My Vouch points are gone. Can they be added manually? No, and that's intentional. See Vouch Points.
I can hear TTS on my PC but viewers can't. Why? Read Comments audio comes out of the dashboard tab, not the overlay. Browser audio has to be captured in OBS too. See Read Comments.
Why don't Minecraft commands / webhooks / keystrokes run when alerts do? Each one has its own switch at the top of the Interaction Center page. Check that the switch is on.
Account
How do I sign up? There is no sign-up form. Log in with Google or Discord and the account is created automatically. See Creating an Account.
My Interactions became inactive. Why? You went over the free account limit. Delete the ones you don't use, or subscribe to the add-on.
My settings disappeared after I switched presets. They're still there. You're looking at a different preset. See Presets.
