Draw Design Gallery: 11 Wheel Styles
Spin Roulette isn't limited to one wheel shape. There are 11 designs, each with its own way of drawing a winner, and you can switch at any time without changing the prizes.
Open the gallery with the Change Design button on the Spin Roulette page.
The eleven designs
| Design | How it draws |
|---|---|
| Cut the Deck | Cards are shuffled, then cut away one by one until a winner is left |
| Claw Machine | An arcade claw grabs one prize and drops it down the chute |
| Drum Wheel | A vertical drum spins and the needle settles on the winning row |
| Fishing Draw | A hook drops into the tank and pulls one fish to the surface |
| High Striker | A mallet launches the puck up a prize ladder; rarer prizes sit higher |
| Last One Standing | Contenders are eliminated one by one until a single name is left |
| Marble Run | A marble tumbles down a pin board and lands in one of the gates |
| Photo Finish | A tight lane race decided by the finish-line photo |
| Radar Lock | A radar sweep locks onto a single contact |
| Scratch Card | A scratch card is peeled back layer by layer until the prize shows |
| Split Flap | An airport board flips through letters and stops on the winner |
Try before you use
In the gallery, each design actually spins when you click it.
- The preview stage uses your own prizes, so you see exactly how it will look.
- If the wheel doesn't have enough prizes yet, the stage uses built-in samples.
- The Spin again button replays the animation.
The gallery says: "Nothing is saved and no prize fires until you press Use This Design."
So you can try all eleven even while you're live. Viewers won't see anything and no prize Interaction runs. Click Use this design when you've decided, or Cancel.
Item limits per design
This part causes the most problems. Each design has a minimum and maximum number of items, and the limits differ from design to design.
The gallery shows the range on each design card, in the form min-max item.
If you have more prizes than the design's maximum, the dashboard warns you:
This design shows at most N items. The bottom M do not appear and cannot win. Remove or reorder them if you want them included.
Items that get cut off are marked "not in the draw" in the Wheel Items list.
This is a fairness problem, not only a display one: viewers see a prize list where not every prize can actually come up. Check this warning every time you switch designs.
If there are too few items, you get the opposite warning: "This design needs at least N items."
Choosing a design
A few practical points:
- Lots of prizes? Pick a design with a large capacity. Check the
min-maxnumbers in the gallery before deciding. - Want it tense and drawn out? Last One Standing and Cut the Deck knock out contenders gradually.
- Want it quick? Radar Lock and Split Flap finish fast.
- Want the prizes clearly visible? Claw Machine and Fishing Draw color each prize with its item color.
Common problems
Symptom: the preview won't appear. The message reads: "The preview could not load. You can still pick a design below. Make sure the latest overlay is deployed." You can still pick a design; only the preview is missing.
Symptom: after switching designs, some prizes disappear from the wheel. The new design has a smaller capacity. See the limit warning above.
